Free The Tone MS-2V MS SOV SOV-2 Overdrive Effect Pedal New In Box

Free The Tone MS SOV MS-2V Matt Schofield Overdrive effects pedal. New in the box, just tested one time.

Although the Matt Schofield Signature Model MS SOV SPECIAL was discontinued in December 2013, it was revived as a standard pedal MS SOV (MS-2V) until March 2017. It is no longer in production and becoming increasingly rare.

The MS SOV/MS-2V was made based on the MS SOV SPECIAL/MS-lV which was born out of a collaboration between Free The Tone and Matt Schofield. It provides a natural overdrive sound without losing the original character of your guitar's tone.

From Free The Tone:
The power is increased internally to +/-1 SVDC to provide a wide dynamic range, and at the same time it prevents guitar signal degradation when bypassed by implementing the HTS (Holistic Tonal Solution) circuit.

It has a very low S/N ratio, and provides a fatter and smoother overdrive tone.

In addition to indicating the pedal's on/off status, the LED provides effective visual battery power monitoring. When the battery voltage drops below 5 volts the LED will become dimmer and begin to go out. The effect will still operate at this voltage, but to ensure optimum performance the battery should be replaced as soon as possible.

The power consumption of the MS SOV/MS-2V is 90mA (DC9V). The pedal will operate from a 9-volt battery, but the battery will be drained rapidly so the use of an AC adaptor is recommended. Actual battery operation times will depend on the specific battery used, but a rough estimate is: 30 minutes for a standard manganese battery, or 2 hours for an alkaline type.
